What makes Harvest Bay TenderFruit so tender?
We start with the finest orchard-fresh fruit, peel it, cut it in to bite site pieces and put it through a drying process. The next step is to re-hydrate the fruit where they take some water in while processing by blanchers (hot water with some additives). The result is a medium-moisturized, dry textured fruit or as we like to call it – TenderFruit.
Can I use TenderFruit in recipes?
Yes, you can use TenderFruit in any recipe that calls for fresh or canned fruit.
Why is TenderFruit not considered to be 'natural'?
TenderFruit needs some additives/preservatives to extend its shelf life. Preservatives used are potassium sorbate, a food preservative and sulphur dioxide for color retention.
Are Harvest Bay TenderFruit Kosher?
Yes, Harvest TenderFruit bear the Star-K kosher symbol.
What is the shelf life of Harvest Bay TenderFruit?
14 months. Product should be refrigerated after opening.
How do I read the codes on the package?
Codes are listed on the bottom of the package. Expiration date is listed along with codes below;
